TOUR of CAMP RAVENNA

The Newton Falls Preservation Foundation is hosting a guided and narrated tour of Camp Ravenna.

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED. 

Formerly known as the Ravenna Ordinance Plant or Ravenna Arsenal, this facility began production of shells and bombs in 1941 and eventually included 1,371 buildings encompassed on 21,418 acres.  “Illustrating Ohio's important contributions to winning World War II (from 1942 to 1945), civilian defense workers at the Ravenna Arsenal produced more weapons for the war effort than at any other plant in the United States.”   

After gathering for a brief overview of this military complex, a guided bus tour will be available.
